Question Who has ARE LS II tonneau?

Who has the ARE LS II on thier Screw and how do you like it?
Do you have the power lock option and how well does it work?
I only want to hear from those who have this tonneau.

I got one and love it. Turns the bed into a big trunk. One day I'll eventually get the power lock.

I have one, and I love it. I don't have the power lock option, but I have the carpet liner and the sport wing. Good quality. And like Sean said, it turns the bed into a big trunk.

Thumbs up I've got one too...

...and it's an excellent cover. I don't have the power lock either, thought it was too expensive. The cover is well built and doesn't leak.

Thumbs up Power lock and ARE LS II

I installed the power lock myself about 11 months ago. I can't tell you how much I really like it. Never had any problems. In addition to the power lock, I had my alarm guy hook up the cover to the alarm system, plus he installed two switchable lights inside the bed.
Highly recommend the powerlock for the ARE cover! The directions it came with were very precise and easy to follow. It took me approx. 2.5 to 3 hours to do. The longest part was due to not having a special kind of small pliers with spring(?), but I managed with a pair of long nose pliers anyway.
Good luck!

Question Tell me more about the lights

I too have the ARE LSII cover and have wanted to put some lights inside. Can you give us some more details about what and how it was done? Also what does the auto lock cost and where is the best place to get it?

Thanks....

Talking

I've got the ARE and love it. I'd stay away from the Lear ... it's a beautiful lid but it only has two small hinges, where the LS has a continuous hinge across the front (less likely to rack if you catch wind or drive with it partially open).

I've got one too, no power lock, but do have carpet liner. I also have carried stuff with it open halfway, no problems there. I did have a concern that the color (they called it Teal, Ford called it Island Blue) wouldn't match when I ordered it, but it's perfect. A bit heavy for me and the misses to take off, but I have had it off once so far, very easy for 2 guys.

Although it wasn't the least expensive topper, I'm glad I bought it, and would do it again. Overall fit and finish is great.
