peeling paint on 2wk old screw

I recently posted something questioning if my new 01' (2wks old) screw may have been involved in an accident. well yesterday I noticed that there is paint missing on the driver's door, which is what I think has been repired. It is in the top crease where the door handle housing is attached to the door. There are two areas which are very small on top of the door handle housing. I can also see little bubbles like there is more that is getting reafy to flake off. I called my salesman and asked him again if the truck had been damaged and repaired. He said no but would look into it more. any ideas? could the outer door skin flexing when I close it cause the paint to chip?
Also today I noticed two scratches in my windshield! My rearview mirror was blocking my view of them. I thought they were small cracks at first but turned out to be scratched.
It all just makes me wonder.

Dude sounds like your dealer is lying, I would get back to the dealer talk to the manager or owner if you can and tell them that if they don't trade you trucks your going to go to court.

Or if they will work with you, be nicer, I would still try to get a diffrent truck from them or somekind of trade like an extended extended extended warrenty!

I really like my truck and if there is a way for them to repair it (if it hasn't been previously dammaged) without repainting the whole door I would do that but there are a lot of little clues, like the driver's door popos open like it's very tight and not adjusted right. The other doors dont do this. also the steering wheel is slightly off as if rotated a little to the left. The driver's side turn signal and head light are not lined up right. However There are things I was told to look for to see if it had been damaged and it does not indicate it has been.
I just don't know!!!

I tend to agree with dcovell... sounds like the dealer is lying to cover his rump. I'd have a few words with them and get to the bottom of this. Your door SHOULD, UNDER NO CONDITION OTHER THAN HAVING BEEN REPAIRED, DO THIS! I REPEAT SHOULD NOT DO THIS!

What I might do is run it by a good body shop and ask one of the guys (an experienced body man) to come out and take a look at it and let him give you his opinion on wheter or not it's been 'tweaked'. That would be some good ammo walking back into see your dealer. At the VERY least, I would ask for a repaint, my door adjusted, and a steak dinner because I know it's stressing you out. (*as it would all of us*).

Good luck with this...

Yep, body shop - but 3rd party!

Find a good body shop and have them look at it for you. Do not go to a Ford body shop. They'll be biased to tell you everything looks good to them.

It might cost you a little for the guy's time, but the piece-of-mind will probably be worth it. Futher, if you truck has been damaged, you need to find out now.

From what you have report it definitely sounds like something's not quite right with the driver's side of your truck.

There is one other POSSIBILITY to get information on exactly what happened. If your truck was repaired at the dealership there should be a cyber trail of the work in the Ford system. The key to unlocking that information is to go to another dealership and have them run the VIN number in the Ford database. It might be a good idea to remain tight lipped as to why you want the VIN run, as one dealer may not want to assist in providing information that could inpune another dealers integrity.
