Screw vs. TrailBlazer
My wife is a Chevy fan while I am an avid Ford man . She just bought an '02 Trailblazer with a 4.2 inline 6 cylinder , 270 hp , 255 ft/lbs. torque and 3.73 gears . They weigh in at 4620 lbs. She kept needling me about how her new car can kick my butt .
Well since I have installed a Superchip and Airaid . I thought she would not stand a chance . Coming home from meeting after work the other night we had an opportunity to test her theory .
We started at a traffic light with no one around . It was a slight uphill incline . When the light changed it was on . She jumped about 2 car lengths ahead of me . At about 40 I started to catch up and at 70 she was only 1/2 a car length ahead . I was running out of lane so I had to back off the throttle . I know I would have passed her but didn't have the opportunity .
The bottom line is that if my Screw was bone stock she would claimed a complete victory and I would have been totally shamed .
It looks like I have a few more mods to make so that I can redeem myself .

okay, now put a 20' bowrider or 2 snowmobiles on the back of each truck and race, you would smoke the TB.
I'm sorry, but this race was apples to oranges. A 225 hp 92 Mustang GT would have smoked the TB with 50 less HP.
A fair race would be Silverado against F150 or Explorer against Trailblazer.

My whole family is a Ford family, but my parents have been looking at the trail blazer as well.
The Trail Blazer is in direct competion with the Explorer but is giving the Expedition a good bit of competition too.
Chevy has done a great job with there new engin, don't know much about the rest of the SUV such as body build etc.
I hope that Ford with it's reorg will come back in the next year or two with a more powerfull engine for the explorer and continue to improve the F series as that is there backbone of existinse.
Ford does have all the other compaines, but to let the number one selling veichle in America title go to Chevy would kill them!
So Ford if your listing, get on the ball and beat Chevy down, a few suggestions, more power, better fule economy, and no drastic changes to the body style. Yes Ford sells a lot a trucks and SUVs to women because there quiet, they like the looks, etc. but Chevys starting to catch up fast...
I do hope that Bil Ford can turn the company around and put out the best cars, trucks, and SUVs out there.
