Question Thermo Electric Cooler/Power Point question

Does the power point in the back stay on or does it turn itself off after a while?

the reson I am asking is, I want to run thermoelectric cooler once in a while in the back (a small one 48 watts) I would most likley use a power saver too to keep me from killing my battery.

Any suggestions. I found one called a Coolmate that would almost fit under my back seat just stick out a little, does anyone else have suggestions? I just want to keep a few sodas and some water cool. Thats it...

So WalMart has it, how much? Do you like it?

Also there is a product out there that plugs inline with the 12V adapter that will shut off if the voltage drops below 11 Volts.

Let me get this straight. There's a cooler that can slide under the back seat?

Can it be converted to heat the contents instead of just cool? If it can, then this might be what I'm looking for. I still prefer ice to cool my drinks, but keping food hot has been a problem. I'd rather use something like this to keep already prepared food hot instead of dragging a grill around. Grill's not so bad, but it becomes a problem when you have to wait for it to cool off completely before packing it away...

Yep, I measured under the back seat and found one cooler that will fit under there and will cool and warm.

Look at the table for the SG-002. It was hard to find, but if you want it out of the way under the seat, this is the only one i found.

It will hold 2 cans, and is 3.5 Liters of volume. Also it can sit on it's side upright whatever, the only thing is you can't block the vents.

I'm still looking into this, unfortunatly it's small but it's a trade off for keeping it out of site...

Man! I thought it was going to be some $50 thing... Seems like a lot of money for something so small, especially when compared to larger models... Still, who knows? Might be a good investment at $109.

Yea I know, I'm still thinking about it, Coleman makes a larger one for a little bit more but it has a themostat type controler on it. Coleman has a good rep, so I may just get a bigger one and if someone has to sit back there.... Well... Like I said, still thinking about it.

The reson I want one is to keep a bottle of cold water and a few cold Red Bulls on hand. Plus if I go on a trip I can keep some food or even heat something up in it.
