ford service

I have been having problems getting my seat covers replaced because they were caught in my armrest and got ripped. i first notified ford of this in 4/01. i still haven't gotten them replaced. well i filled out a form for small claims court and went to ford to see if the parts came in, well when i found out they hadn't come in for at least the 7th time i got pissed off and went to the service manager. i asked for my ford rep's name and explained the problem. he said he would follow up with me tomorrow. I will let you guys know what happens.

one thing is he is rotating my tires for free, renting me a expy while my truck is getting fixed and replacing a seat cover that got burned from a cigarette for free.

the small claims thing really got the ball rolling. best $15.00 i ever spent.

I also had trouble with my seat cover. Ford paid for the repair.

however i did wait 6 weeks for the part, then the wrong one showed up. The cealer gave me a car ( escort) for 4 days while they got the right cover.

Make sure they got your build date when they ordered the part. Different build dates have different seats. We all seem to know about gen I v. gen III, but not all of the parts guys have it figured out yet.

good luck
