Front License Plate Bracket Removal

Sounds simple enough. The lower portion of the bracket is just attached via plastic clips. The upper portion is some sort of oversized metal rivot of some sort. I haven't located a nut to unbolt. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

either drill out the rivet or take an air chisel to it.. I used the air chisel and it took all of 4 seconds to get those puppies off

I used an old, rusty steak knife and sawed the plastic tabs off inside each recess. You can't even tell there ever was a plate there, unless you were *really* hunting for it! Besides, the leftover plastic helps to fill the gaps that are left behind.

Not in Cali, you have to have a plate on the front and the back of the car/truck. So don't have to worry about this mod.
