Yes I do tow that trailer. It is about 4500lbs empty and with the sandrail, water, and gear it is probably about 7000 - 7500 lbs. It pulls great tons of torque. I will probably re-gear soon to get a little better performance with the larger tires.

Why in the world would you waste your money on tires wheels and a lift on a 2 Wheeler!!! Maybe you should have spent it on the truck when you bought it and you could have actually went offroading with it......
A 4x2 can't go off-road? I guess Beardoge has never seen a desert race. What those 4x2s do is amazing! When you get a chance to see an off-road race on ESPN or Speedvision, check it out. I guarentee you will be amazed!
ACOLEY...
Your truck looks great...What lift do you have? I personally prefer an even lift all the way around or slightly higher in front. Getting ready to lift my truck as well.

A 4x2 will go a lot of placed offroad. Plus it takes less gas to get there. Hey if you don't offroad much, then a 2x4 may be a waiste of money.
I like to get offroad a bit so I opted for the 4x4.
As far as the lift goes, one thing I would have done is add an extra inch to the front so that it's level. But thats more of a look thing to me, not really that functional.

Thanks for all the input guys. In certan situations the front seems a little lower than the rear (like in these pictures) other times it seems to look perfectly level. I think its OK because I don't want it to squat too much in the back when I have the trailer and toys hooked up.
Beardoge, I like the way the truck looks being little higher and bigger that the other 4x2's on the road. I didn't want a 4WD because the truck was more expensive, parts are more expensive, mileage is worse (I commute 40 mile on way to work), insurance is more expensive, and I would not take a $30k plus truck any where more than where a 2WD could go. So to me, not a waste.
Screwforsurf, I have the 3.5 inch Fabteck Spindles in front and 2 inch blocks in the rear.
Thanks again.

ACOLEY , I Didn't mean to rip on your truck it looks great! But to me it seems like a waste of time and money to lift a two wheeler but I guess everybody has to waste money on something right.
Me personally I waste it on snowmobiles. So I Drive alot in bad weather, towing trailers in deep snow and Icy conditions. And I wouldn't really want a truck that sits to high, I have seen a lot of tall trucks tipped over in the ditch with a trailer on top of them and sleds scattered about.
As there aren't too many desserts in Michigan I don't really have to worry about ground clearance. So I was just wondering why you lifted it and was not trying to lambaste you at all.

Beardoge,
no problemo man, I was just trying to explain my reasons for really not wanting to go with the 4wd. If I was going to be in the snow like you, no question I would go 4wd. But it rarely gets below 60 degrees here, so instead I go 2wd with 4wd looks. Its all cool.
Hey have you ever been out to the dunes in Michigan? I hear they are pretty sweet.

Looks good
I think it looks good too. I put a lift on mine, but mine is a 4-wheeler. I put 3" performace accessories body lift on mine, pics are in signature (Photo Gallery). How do you like those pro comps? I love mine. Ride looks nice.
