Safety Recall for Screw seatbelts. We had ours changed. Recall says just front seats. Both front and rear belts were bad in our Screw. They would be buckled one minute then they would just release for no reason. NOT TOO SAFE if you ask me. Dealer said recall was for front only. I had to get pissed a bit to get them to change the rears also, said something to the effect of going to court if they would not change a safety related problem and someone got hurt because of bad belts that were identified as defective. They were all replaced in Sep 01, replacement of rear passenger side again in Dec 01. Driver belt getting replaced again in Feb 02. What is fords problem with belts???? Hopefully this will be the last fix for the belts!!

When did you get this recall? I have a '01 and haven't gotten one yet.

Man... I thought I was done with recalls. My '97 got recalled 3 times. My '99, zero.

 

First I've heard of this too ...
my belts don't come undone by themselves , at least not the drivers side and passengers side ... don't know about the back.
intresting ... keep us posted ! anyone else with this recall or this problem please speak up !
