Anyone install a aux oil cooler in a 01 Screw 5.4 4x4 ?
I'm thinking of installing one this spring for summer towing.

Towing package (if ford factory installed) includes tranny oil cooler.

I'm talking about a engine oil cooler not a trans cooler
The tow package give you a power stering cooler and
a trans cooler.
But I don't see a engine oil cooler anywhere !!

The engine oil cooler is an oil to coolant heat exchanger. It's mounted between the engine and the oil filter with coolant hoses running from it. One hose runs to the lower radiator hose.

Did you have a chance to see if Ford forgot to put the oil cooler in your truck?

I have an oil cooler & a trans cooler from the factory with the trailer tow package. I have 3 cooler's up front including the radiator. I never heard of such a thing as a power steering cooler on these truck's. Are you sure there is such a thing ? Please correct me if I'm wrong..

This is from fords site where you can customize your truck:

Class III Trailer Towing Group $350.00
- 7-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness
- Class III Frame-Mounted Hitch Receiver
- Heavy-Duty Shock Absorbers
- Heavy-Duty 72-Amp Hr Battery
- Auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler (w/ 7700 Payload only); Upgraded Auxiliary Transmission Cooler on 5.4L Engines with Automatic Transmission

Now the question is, do we have the 7700 Payload option???

It does not mention a power steering cooler so I ausme the 2 extra radiators on the front of my truck (as I too have the towing package) are for the oil and trans.

IF there is an engine oil cooler, it's an oil-to-water one. You won't see any additional heat exchangers for it. The small exchanger (cooler) is for power steering. The other, larger, cooler is for the transmission fluid. The only way to tell if you have an engine oil cooler is to look for the additional coolant hoses described above. I'll try to remember to look at our S'crew tomorrow and also take some pics of the cooler if it has one. Otherwise, I'll photograph the one on my V10 since it is the same as would be on the 5.4L.

Lightbulb It aint there.

Well, I didn't take any pics of the oil cooler on my V10, but I can tell you that our 2002 Screw with towing pkg does NOT have an engine oil cooler.

Wow! I wonder when they made that change in the tow package? Is it only the SuperCrews that don't have it? I wonder if the other 2002 models don't have it either?

Damned, is this another radiator fiasco?
