Trailer wiring connection

OK, here's my problem. My trailer has a 4 pin connector with a rubber shell, and the truck has the other 4 pin connection with a rubber shell. The two rubber shells are the same size and don't alow me to connect them together. On my first truck I had the 7 pin to 4 pin converter that worked fine. Is there a 4 pin to 4 pin extender available?

Thanks for your help.

Rald,

Go to AutoZone and get a trailer wiring kit, it consists of a 4 pin or prong male and female end with 10 or so feet of wire. Cut the wire to desired length, solder and cover with tape.......there you have it: an extention cord........just make sure you don't buy thekind that has the big boot like on your rig.......good luck..

hope this helps
