Smile 3" Lift and Pro Comps

Your truck looks sweet. Exactly what I had in mind. It looks like your wheels are the originals. Any problem mounting the Pro Comps on your 7.5 inch wide wheels?

looks good.

i have purchased a body lift and the gap guards but haven't installed it yet. right now I am running 285/75/16, and I thought the lift might make the tires look too small. Do you think there is enough room to fit 315/75/16 (approx. a 35X12.50X16) in there? That is what I want, but am not sure it will fit. Also, did you do the lift yourself?

Thanks guys

I appreciate the compliments. I love it, the only problem is that i have a hard time getting in and out of it myself and i'm 6'2". I haven't got around the the nerf bars yet, but i will eventually, i just like the looks of it. I've been reading about all the people that have been getting suspension lifts, and i was told they void your warranty, so i stuck with the body lift. There was no problem fitting them on stock 17" wheels, to tell you the truth they recomending doing it that way, Ford does a good job with there wheels anyway. The 33X12.50's pro Comp mud terrains have got nothing but praise from all 4-magazines i've read and they don't hardly hum at all. Do a search on the Pro Comps and read the magazine articles, they'll tell you all you need to know.
HOSRACN: The guys that installed it for me told me not to run the 315 or the 35 he said there really big a gualky and would make my truck ride much rougher than the 33's. I believe him now, I really love the look, and i've had so many compliments in the 3 days i've had the lift. 3" body lift and tires raised my truck 4" and i didn't think it would be that big of a difference, but it's the difference between night and day. The lift and tires and a tint job all the way around cost 1800 in all. I have to say it was well worth it. My advice to all you guys is do it.

I love the wheels

JB that's really nice, i love those wheels i priced those wheels at a place here in East Texas and they were $361 a peice. What did you pay for them? Did they say anything about a voided warranty with the suspension lift? BEAUTIFUL ride!!!

Cool

Actually, I bought it off the lot with the lift(s), wheels, tires and grille, carr steps, just as you see it. Therefore, my warranty covers the lift as well. The dealership where I bought it from sets a few of them up like this from a 4wheelparts shop here is San Diego. From what I'm told, this will not void your warranty. The dealer will have to prove that whatever problem your having is caused by whatever mod you installed. If you use quality parts, from a quality resource, and the parts are specific for your make/model there should not be a problem. Besides, your lift has a warranty from whatever manufacturer you choose, and the installation shop has a warranty on the installation. It's a no brainer. Do it!!! They look sweet.............!!!!

Once I saw this truck sitting on the lot, I jumped all over it. They told me that it just came in that day. The super crews don't sit on the lot more than 1-2 days before someone snatches them up. I've done quite a bit to it already, and I'm not even close to being finished. Let me know if you have any more questions.......JB
