My S Crew is about 2 months old, and about a month ago I started to notice occasional popping and cracking sounds coming from the dash in the area of the glove box (behind it). It has gotten worse since I first heard it, and is quite irritating especially considering the cost of the vehicle. Just last week it was popping while I was stopped at a light, so I switched off the fan and the popping totally stopped. Now when driving I leave the fan off unless it is too cold. I am scheduled to bring the truck in to the dealership in a couple weeks and was wondering if anybody else on the board has experienced similar problems. At least then I can point the "experts" in the right direction. Driving without the fan on is not an acceptable fix.
