Throttle Body Spacers?

Has anyone put one of these on their truck and if so did it really do anything? I was told it would increase your torque and your gas mileage by 1.5 mpg.

From what I have heard (not from experiance) that the throttle body spacers don't do much of anything for the Ford engines. They do seem to work better on other engines such as the Cheveys. I have not heard one "WOW" story from anyone on this board.

So thats one upgrade you may want to skip.

They will make a cool air noise that sounds a bit like a turbo...

If anyone does have one of these and can prove they help, I might reconsider.

Do a search of this forum. I've been watching a long time. There hasn't been ONE owner who has benefitted from these spacers. Don't waste your money.

Thumbs up I liked mine.

I installed a HELIX Power Tower on my '98 4.6l f150 and I noticed a increase. It pepped up the engine and gave it some more low end power. I was very impressed by my Helix, and I think it would be a good upgrade. However, I understand not all motors are the same, but for my 4.6, it works great!
