Ouch!!!
Didn't even have to be a hot sunny day, this happened to me too and it really hurts!!!
I think Ford should have pushed those back a bit or something cause there really anoying as I am a big person and rest my arm up there all of the time.
I like trucks becasue I fit in them, if I was smaller then I might think about a sports car (not likley though), so the thing about the door is a mistake in design in my opinion as far as comfort goes.

Never happened to me, but I can definitely see how it's possible. I wonder how you could prevent that from happening, other than the obvious one of don't put your arm there while it's locking?
Maybe you could disable the autolock? The procedure is in your manual. In that case, you'll have to remember to lock the doors yourself, but then you'd be doing that with your left hand and most likely, your arm wouldn't be near the button while you're pressing the switch.

Why does it auto lock anyways?
Is that just a convenience by preventing bums of robbing you at a stop light?
BTW...this has never happened to me...but thanks for the warning

hey 4.6Supercrew...after reading your post...I immediately went out to my truck and found the how-to in my manual. here it goes.
Must complete steps 1-7 in 30 seconds. If you do not complete steps 1-7 in 30 seconds, it won't work and you will have to wait an additional 30 seconds before trying again
*First close doors and turn ignition to OFF
1. Turn the ignition key to ON
2. Press the power door unlock control three times
3. Turn the ignition key from ON to OFF
4. Press the power door unlock control three times
5. Turn the ignition key back to ON. Horn should BEEP
6. Press the unlock control, then press the lock control. The horn should beep once
7. Turn the ignition key to OFF. Horn will beep once more to confirm that the procedure is complete
Hope this helps!

I love autolock, but disabled it because it doesn't auto-UNLOCK.
I hate having to hit unlock when I exit the vehicle to open the back doors, or the tailgate lock I installed.
My wife's Yukon locks when you go over 10, and unlocks when you remove the key.
