Immediately after completion, exit your vehicle and whistle dixie while patting your head and rubbing your belly simultaneously
! Thanks for posting the instructions, Joeyo. I've been wondering how to turn it off, but too lazy to look through my manual.
I've grown to appreciate the remider. It's gotten me in the habit of buckling my seatbelt in every vehicle I'm in (that make the wife happy). It can get annoying when you're parked doing mods or using the cell or what have you. The next gen should have a smart sensor that'll activate the reminder when the vehicle is actually being driven.

You can just push the orange release button once you have started the truck and that will keep it from chiming. I don't always wear my seatbelt so I religiously push the release button on the drivers side just so I don't have to hear the chime.

When I am drying my truck after a wash I like to listen to the radio or CD. I just clip the seat belt in and the annoying chime stops. I always wear my seat-belt on the road. I worked one Summer in a large hospital emergency room. After that experience I have never left my belt off.
I'll tell you guys my screw doesn't have the chime at all. it came in mid 2001. my screw is a gen I, but the wifes 2002 explorer drives me nuts with that chime so I just put it on so I don't go crazy. maybe i'll put it on the screw. make my life a little safer if I did. thanks for the info. curt
yes dennis it is, but where i live it's all traffic. I never even think about it until I am in the explorer. thats why i will turn the chime on in the screw. danger never stopped people from doing anything though. people still smoke cigarettes right.
