Ok Lightning Screw, here's the low down. Shifts are better and I do have better pedal response at cruising speeds. The Rpms run up to approx 5300 on the tach inbetween shifts. Wouldn't do any good if it went higher. I'm a little tired so I will get a better feel for the overall performance tomorrow. Its feels like having a carb. car and mechanical timing and running the timing from (for example my 85 Mustang Gt) About 8 degrees to about 12-14 degrees. Stock timing is 10 degrees. I did run it up to about a 110 on a remote stretch of road. Was still pulling, I just let off. Not much for going fast, just like to get there quick. Doesn't feel like it knocked no half second off the quarter times. But I will hook up the G-tech tomorrow and see what it says. The down shift on the highway still seems sluggish to me, but it did improve slightly. Still feels like it falls on its face with a 60 mph punch. But we will see if it improves with time. Overall, nothing earth shattering. But I guess its worth the investment. I only put about 15 miles on it at best, but they were hard miles. So its to early to tell. I was hoping it would turn the tires from a dead stop, no luck there. Once again, I feel it was worth the purchase.
give it a couple hundred miles... then eval...
even with resetting your truck's computer, give it time to adapt to the new settings and fuel... you should notice a nice improvement... I did.... I drove a friends SCrew that didnt have the chip in it the other day and THAT drove the point home that I made the right choice in getting the superchip...
Enjoy bro!

Ok, I do notice it getting better. I have to say, that if your going to do anything to gain performance. Do the chip. I would however suggest if there is a download system in lieu of the chip, it might be a better avenue. Factory will be able to tell that I messed with the computer. I had to bend the bracket that holds the computer to allow space for the chip. I will be seeing how much this bracket cost for replacement, to overcome this little imperfection. This was the hardest part of the installation was getting this bracket off and back on. Big hands and little space. Thank goodness I have a 1/4" drive air ratchet. I would have had the chip in about 30 mins, but with the bracket, it took me an hour or so. Down load system will be about 100.00 more, but might be worth it from a warranty stand point. If they have one yet. The chip does pep it up with no doubt. I took a step back because I just stuck some 265/75R16 all terrain tires on it. But it still runs better than it did with the stock tires.
Oh it doesn't hurt the gas milage at all.
