Video center

I found that Crutchfield has a Clarion adapter for the Excursion and F250 that lets you simply unscrew the back of the console and screw in theirs to get a spot for a video monitor and VCR/DVD player.

Is the Screw's center console the same as the Excursions and F250's? If so, I'll have one of these set up within the month.

If not, anyone know of something similar for Screws? I don't want one in the ceiling for many reasons and putting one on the back of the console would be ideal for me.

all the ones I have seen are ceiling mounted. I kind of like thoughs because you can fold them up when you are not using it. Also you don't get Kneck strain trying to look down.

They offer a model for the expedition console so if you swap in one of those you can use that model.

>>Expedition Center Console <<

How did this work out? Because the exact setup I want starts with an Expedition Center Console. My center console has the 6 disc changer in it so it would mean relocating that, too.

How does the Expedition console fit? Did you order it new from Ford and does the color match?

Never mind, I found all the articles talking about how to do this.

There's even an Expedition console on eBay, but it doesn't look the same as the ones in the pictures.

there are 2 different ones an early (narrow) model 98 and earlier for captain chairs with arm rests and late (wide) model 2000 and up for captains w/o armrests i got the wide (much nicer) and was able to fit my vcr and 10 disk changer inside it also removed my armrests the console was a little pricey with all of the parts but i wanted it from day 1 and am glad i did it
hope this helps
thanks
