X-Plan info
If your employer has x-plan, just get your partner code from your human resource manager (five digit alpha-numeric #) and go here....
http://www.fordpartner.com/ to get a PIN.
Once you have a PIN, all you need is proof of employment and you're ready to buy. You have up to one year to use the PIN and can purchase up to two cars/trucks in a year. HTH,

I work for Newell-Rubbermaid, huge company who owns everything from calphalon to paper-mate. Good company to work for. Plants and locations all over the USA. Any way, we get the X-plan. It took $3600 off the MSRP of my SuperCrew, plus I got $1400 in rebates. I also did not have to pay the "documentation fee", a saving of another $180. FYI, this is a totally no haggling deal. Don't ask for nothing because they won't and he said he can't do anything. You have to get what ever is on the lot, although you can search around, and if the dealer likes you, he can trade to get something close to what you want. You will find some dealerships who aren't "interested" in selling you a truck or car, because the salesman makes almost nothing on the deal.
I got the same deal as LINYScrew. I ordered mine Oct. 30th and it arrived Dec. 26th. I saved over $4000, including rebates, from the MSRP. EAA also sent me a notice while I was waiting for the truck that they were offering another $500 off if purchased before the end of the year. The best part is the no haggle dealing.

When I got my EAA X-Plan PIN last year, there was no time requirement. I had already been a member for a few years anyway, but they have since changed it to 1yr minimum. I guess they got a large influx of new members only signing up for the X-Plan, so they changed the rules.
It can save you money, but don't tell the dealer until the deal is done if you want any help along the way. The first dealer we worked with wouldn't give me the time of day after he found out. Second dealer tried to under value my trade to make up for it. Third dealer, had all the paper work done and then I told him. He had to re-write the order (he didn't like that much), but this way I avoided all the hassels and being taken advantage of.
It saved me $4820 off MSRP, and the best deal I was going to get from the dealer was just over $1500 more than the X-Plan cost which was below invoice. Also didn't charge the Documentation Fee of $160. They did offer another $500 just before years end for X-Plan members, but we missed that little extra since we ordered our truck which will finally, after 10-weeks, be in this Monday.

I used X-plan from a Ford employee (save the $40 EAA fee
), and they said I could get something off the lot or one of their other local lots (had 4 local dealerships), or pay a $100 fee to have someone go get one more to my liking within ~200 mile radius, which is what I elected to do.
