New 2002 Question
Hello,
It's been a while since I've been on this board, but I'm glad to be back. Yesterday I test drove a 2002 with the fx4 package. 5.4
When I floored it, the tires lit up. Now I can't even come close to what this thing did. Is the a HP difference in the new trucks? It may have had a 3.73 rear end, not sure though. What that make a huge difference?
Has anyone had a seat replaced? I've noticed a hole in mine, it's from a metal piece sticking up, will they replace this under warranty?
Thanks all,
Rick

Randelman, I had the same problem with my seat, dealer replaced seat cover and fixed the spring problem. as far as the tire spin 5.4 is the difference.I had the 4.6 and could make a little tire spin. With the 5.4 can spin the tires all day long. hope this helps.
If it had a 4.6L engine it probably had 3.73 gears. One of the 2002 changes is that all 4.6L crew cab 4X4's with the 4.6L engine have (the much needed for all engines) 3.73 gears replacing the 3.55 gears on the 2001 model.
