Any guess as to how many SuperCrews have been built?

I see them all over the place where I live, and I was wondering if anyone had a good guess as to how many Ford has built so far?

The day I drove my SCREW home from the dealer, I saw at least 6 other white SCREWS like mine. I'm glad I got the 4x4 as it sets me a part just a bit from everyone else.

Guys,

If the NY Times is correct, then Ford will build 19,000 KR screws and my guess is that they are much rarer than XLTs or Lariats.

From a document I've got called the marketing strategy for the F-150 for 2002, it states this:

54% XLTs
30% Lariats
10% KRs
6% HDs

Now, if 19,000 are KRs and Ford's strategy was to build 10% KRs, then my guess is they either have or intend to build 190,000 units this year.

I got this document if anyone has an interest in seeing it then let me know and I will post a link to it.

Hey S'CrewLoose,

Nope! Don't care about no prize, just in finding out how many screws were or are gonna be built, that's it.

Later,

Fords web site sucks right now, getting nothing but ASP errors etc. The only guess I have is that there are close to 200,000 to be built. That may be a bit high but I would guess that it would be close considering the success they had with it in 2001. Now with the economy down that number could be a lot lower, who knows.

If I find anything then I will post it.

Here are some links I found on BlueOvalNews.com about some production estimates

for 2006 light trucks...http://www.bonforums.com/trucks/production_2006.htm

For the 2002 Harley, "Dearborn is preparing to shell out just 12,000 copies for 2002"...http://www.bonforums.com/trucks/fser...rley110301.htm

NOW here is some instresting stuff for 2003. ..

* An all new 5.4L 3V engine will be used in the F-Series and Expedition replacing the 5.4L 2V engine.

* An all new 5R100W automatic transmission will replace the 4R100.

* Ford will upgrade the 4R75W to the 4R70W for 5.4L 3V powered F-150's and Expeditions.

* An all new 4.5L Navistar diesel will appear.

* An all new R4 manual transmission is scheduled; however, engineering problems might cause its delay or cancellation.

http://www.bonforums.com/trucks/f_20035.htm

I will keep looking...
