Lightning bumper cover
Lightning bumper cover
Does anyone know a website where I can find a Lightning bumper cover? I found one at WWW.fordpartsonline.com . The price was $260.00, I just wanted to comparison shop! Is that a good price? What other brackets would I need? Any help is appreciated!!
The one on that site is the actual ford part and you will need alot more than that to get it to work. The best bet for a non lightning owner is to go to www.wingswest.com they have a bumper cover for our trucks. It is a true bumper cover and is very easy to install.
the front bumper cover is very simple to install on the newer trucks. take off the black plastic moldings on the bumper and slide the cover on. you will need the fog light mounting brackets and the hardware but other than that it should go on just fine. i did mine and the front bumper cover cost me 308.00 and the list was 412.00 so that sounds like a good deal to me. i could not get the part number to come up on the ford web address that you linked me to. the part number for the cover i ordered was 1l3z17d957bb . you will want to paint the edges of your chrome bumper because the factory lightnings are flat black and they do not stand out. the fog lights were 89.95 each and they are needed because of the way they mount in the bumper cover ,the part number for them is 2c5z15200aa . the brackets you need are qty-1/ # 1l3z17e857ba,qty-1/ # 1l3z17e856ba mounting nuts qty-4 # n806728s428. i hope this will help you because i am very pleased with the fit i acheived.

Thanks guys, If anyone else knows of websites please post them!! I wish I could actually see a truck with an aftermarket cover on it so I can see how it mounts! I just cant picture it in my head how it mounts to the bumper. Does anyone have pics of thier install in progress? I guess I want the easiest not necessarily cheapest product!!
