Question Center Console

Will someone please tell me what is designed to go under the lid of the center console between the bucket seats. I am refering to the 4x6 inch black plactic holder thing that is directly attached to the underside of the console lid. My salesman, when asked, said a tissue box but I've yet to find one that fits. That makes since and would be a good spot for it. Thanks in advance. You all helped me get a radiator upgrade a few months ago so I know you will come through again

Yup, that's correct. I haven't tried, but I think it'll fit the small rectangular boxes you often find in offices. Office Depot or Staples should carry them, as well as some supermarkets.

Don't use mine either. I'd probably crash trying to get to a Kleenex there while driving.

I thought it was for Sunglasses. I use it for the spare garage door opener for my part-time job. It's big and cluncky and that clip holds it nicely in place.

Has anyone done anything with that worthless tray in the Gen III center consoles?

I actually have both of mine filled with tissue boxes. With my King Ranch leather, I don't want people's snot all over my nice leather, so I made sure to provide insurance that this won't happen.

I think they are called Kleenex Juniors. That is the only size that fits. I had the same thing in my Explorer and they were hard to find so whenever my wife saw them at a local store she would buy me 3 or 4 boxes. My console does not have them. I have a Gen 1.

I kind of knew it was for Kleenex 'cause I've seen them in rental cars before. I just never looked into where you get them from or the costs. I looked at the Kleenex site and found this link. Maybe it will help some too.

I attached a picture how to use the center console.... You need "pocket tissue" from Kleenex. I hope it helps.

Exclamation

That pic shows a completly different console lid then on my 2002 King Ranch. Mine fits my wallet nicely and I know it won't get lost in the mess of papers I keep in the console.
