Question Bed Extender with Bed Rug

I was wondering if anyone has installed a Bed Rug in their SuperCrew along with the Bed Extender. I'm planning on having a SnugLid installed next week and I'm thinking about having the Bed Rug done at the same time, but I want to make sure I can still use the extender.

Any info would helpful.

Thumbs up SHOULD WORK FINE!

I don't have the Bedrug yet (Hello Santa?) but I have seen pictures of the two together. I'm SURE you won't have any problems

BedRug?

You shouldn't have a problem. They will have to trim some holes whare the bed extender attaches.

I just had a SnugLid and BedRug installed last week. Check out my photo albums for some pics!

I have had the BedRug and extender for over a year with no problems. My only glitch was adjusting the cap window shocks to allow the extender to flip over. They work fine together.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll get the BedRug, too. I might as well give my wife one heartattack now rather than wait until later and give her a second one.

Bugsdoc1,

Just checked out your pic - looks great! I've also been looking at the Bedrug/Snuglid combo for my SC. How much did you pay for your Snuglid? They want to charge me $800 up here in Portland, OR. Seems spendy, but maybe that's the going rate? Just curious.

For others interested in an inexpensive Bedrug, www.tntserve.com has them for $288 plus S&H (total ~$311). Check them out.

Thanks,

Question

Has anyone put a bedrug in after having the Rhino bed liner sprayed in the bed? If so did it fit ok? I wish I would have gone with the bedrug.

Question SnugLid pricing

I paid $745.00 for the SnugLid. The FOSSliner for it was $95.00. The BedRug was $350.00 and the installation was $50.00.

Yes, and here's a little tip that I did on mine. Rather than just cutting holes for the bed extender hardware, you can actually remove the hardware and re-install it on top of the BedRug.

The plastic grommets for the lock pins can be removed from the bed. They're just snap in and can be pried out with a small screwdriver (be careful not to scratch your paint). If you already have the pivot installed, remove that too. Then, install the BedRug and cut small holes where the grommets and pivots go and re-install them over the BedRug. It makes the lock pins a bit more snug, but it's still perfectly usable and looks much more finished.

I did the same with the tie-downs (rather than cutting a slit for them to pass through) and like the finished look.
