Rear Window Weather Strip

My friend just bought a 4x4 Lariat SuperCrew. He had to take it back to the dealer because the weather stripping around the rear window was pushed in all the way around the plastic window trim piece except for a small area on the passenger side. This made me go check the weather stripping on my SCrew, and sure enough, exact same problem. I've had the truck for over a year now and never even noticed it. I did notice that it looked a little cheap to have a 1/8" gap around the trim piece, but you would never think it was missing the stripping because it's pushed in so far you can't even see it. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Seems strange that both of our trucks had it.

I had the same problem. I noticed it while washing it a couple of weeks ago. I took it to the dealer and they said they would check it out. They ended up replacing the whole back glass (warranty) and now there is a different rubber trim around the moulding.
