First Problems with S'crew

Noticed while driving tonight that the engine was wanting to idle higher than normal. Around 2K RPMs in park. (Truck was warm and it was 73 degrees outside). Stopped and had dinner and on the way home noticed the Service Engine Soon light came on. I will take it in the morning to Ford. 3200 miles.

After not noticing the "THUNK" for the first 2500 miles it has become more of a regular occurance. Annoying ...

Service Engine Soon

Had the same message - Ford dealer found defective gas cap. It was leaking a very small amount of vapor/fumes. Enough to have the engine sensor detect it and turn on the "Service Engine Soon" light. Installed new gas cap and problem was solved.

I also am getting a higher than normal idle but only when cold. When shifting into reverse from park, I notice a clunk in the transmission.

Fixed

To give some back ground on my delima. I received a call late last night that my grandmother passed away. So getting the S'crew serviced as soon as possible was my goal this AM.

Tried to go to a closer dealer than where I purchased. (Location is southern Cherokee County) I will not make that mistake again, said it would be two days until they would look at it and they were VERY RUDE to say the least, can you say "see ya"... I cannot see why anyone would put up with that kind of treatment with around 10 other Ford dealers within 30 miles.

Called my sales guy and drove down (20 miles). He greeted me when I arrived and said he had a loaner reserved for me if I needed. Service department was great. Had it in and out in around an hour. The problem turn out to be the "choke" sticking. (I do not have the receipt with me, so don't bash me because I did not quote the exact part and I know the newer cars do not have chokes. It was the part that performs the same function as the choke). I do not know if this is allowed but I highly recommend Wade Ford on S. Cobb Drive as far as their service goes. I also recomment anybody in the Atlanta area looking for a new Ford and do not have A-plan or X-plan and do not want to mess around with price ... go through the Fleet Sales Dept. I purchased an Expy and S'crew this year. And NO you do not need a fleet to purchase through Fleet Sales.

My many thanks to Rick in Service and Jeff in Fleet Sales.
