Test Drove an '02 Today
Test drove an '02 on my lunch hour today. Now I know why everyone's so happy with these things. This is what I drove:
'02 SuperCrew XLT 4x4
Dark Shadow Gray
Factory Options:
5.4L Engine
3.55 LSD
Skid Plates
Sliding Rear Window
Trailer Towing Group
Cloth Captain's Chairs
Dealer Add-ons:
Pinstripes
Wheel Locks
Bedliner
With X-Plan pricing and $500 cash back, I was quoted a price of 29,137.00 plus tax. I don't have an X-Plan PIN yet, but they don't need it until time of purchase. Also, the salesmen (yes, I had to deal with two) mentioned cash-back of $1000, not $500... whatever.
The A-Plan price is listed as $27,877.50, so the numbers aren't adding up quite right. I may counter-offer with $28k. Thoughts???

My 2001 XLT is only 3 weeks old and I really like this truck !
X-Plan is 12.5% (give or take $100) below invoice and A-Plan is 4% below X-Plan.
I have the invoice for my truck and was quoted X-Plan because I did have a PIN but was able to convince dealer to sell it for A-Plan price plus $100 because it was a dealer trade.
Selling dealer had to claim I was a to cousin to him in order to obtain A-Plan PIN.
