Condensation in Exhaust,

I just purchased a used 2001 Supercrew Lariat. I've been noticing a lot of condensation in the exhaust. Plus it seems that the condensation is rusting through the muffler. Is this a common issue on these trucks?

Its normal. My problem is that if I take short trips and the system doesn't get hot enough or run long enough to dry it out there is water sitting in the muffler. If I park it at home the driveway is on a slope up to the house and the water will run out the back of the muffler and will leave a big wet spot on the driveway. After doing this many times I now have this big rust spot on a 2 year old white cement driveway.
