factory molded mud guards
factory molded mud guards
Does anyone know if the factory molded mud guards are the same on the front and back? My Screw has the chrome step bar, so the molded mud guards will fit on front and back. I had the dealer install them yesterday and the ones on the back look smaller than the ones on the front..they look like two different types of molded mud flaps?? Any insights??
They are two different part numbers. I have the factory plastic running boards, and finding aftermarket (husky) molded for the front was difficult, and cost about the same as buying them from my dealer.
As far as size, I'll tell you when I have them, should be Thursday. They did look the same on my 00 Scab though....

I have the Husky Mud Gaurds on my screw with factory boards and flares, I got the husky's after reading here that the OEM gaurds were smaller and let more crud get by onto the doors and back fenders. I have to say, the husky's are nice and block lots of crud and are in fact a little larger than OEM. I got mine from roadwords.com.

Well, I got them. The fronts fit pretty good with the running boards. Rears, well, fit ok, but I would agree with S'CrewLoose-- they look kinda small.
Another gripe, the mounting hardware. You pull out a plastic trip holder and the replacement they give you (you now have to get through another 1/8" of material) are just too short.
While I like plastic fasteners, I think the factory Ford rear flaps leave a bit to be desired.
My .02, get the Husky's if you can find the fronts to fit your particular truck.
