Power winch for a Screw

Anybody here install a power winch on a Screw? If so, do you have pictures you can post? How much did it cost?

I saw a winch on a screw in a parking lot the other day. It looked like it was mostly hidden behind the plastic front fender and the grill. It could sure come in handy offroading. Im sure you would need a large winch considering the weight of a supercrew.

Hidden Winch

Actually the hidden winch was what I was looking at and also thought it could be very handy. However, they are pretty pricey. From what I have seen, they are at least $700. I wanted to get an idea if anyone else had mounted one and if they had gotten the hidden mount.

Ramsey is the only one I have seen that sells a hidden mount for Ford pickups. I have attached a photo from their catalog of how it looks, although the photo is not the greatest. I think they also offer a hand held wireless remore for operation of the winch.

I would really like to have this baby.

If you compare the pic to the front of your truck, you will notice the fairlead will be lower than the bottom of your bumper. It needs to sit higher to look right on a newer front end. I saw this setup on a screw an it looks like crap. It required a large cutout on the plastic. They have not redesigned the mount for the newer front end because of clearance issues. A properl mounted electric winch simply will not fully tuck up under the new bumper.
Now for the good news. A mile marker will fit with proper winch placement. Mile marker makes a hidden mount kit that fits VERY well with your front bumper, however, you can not fit an electric on their mount. Check with mile marker, they should have some pics for you.
