Thumbs up 35" tires on Supercrew-Photo

35x12.5 17 Procomps mounted on 17 x 9.5 wheels. No rubbing and no cutting was necessary. I've never had muds before and was a little hesitant to buy them due to noise but I am so far very satisfied with them as they are relatively well-behaved on road. How often should I rotate the tires and what is the easiest way if I were to do it myself?

hey, the truck looks great. How do you like that RCD kit? I have been thinking about getting one. From what I hear it is a really good kit. MEEK

Cool. And how did you manage to mount that basketball pole without compromising the structural integrity of your roof? That's a great idea, but I'll bet the added drag is hell on your gas mileage.

Looks good! Is that your stock 4x4 setup with just the front torsion bars jacked up a bit, or did you actually do a lift?

hyacinth,
NOW THAT'S WHAT AN OFF-ROAD PACKAGE SHOULD LOOK LIKE!
Hey how are you doing? Where have you been?
You have'nt been posting much anymore.
To busy spending money on that truck I guess.
The truck look's awsome !!!Just when I thought it could'nt look any better than before you go ahead and do it again.
I still like the look's of the smittybuilt outland sport on the front end.
How do you like the procomp's ?
Once again ...nice job on the truck.
Mike

dcovell,
The truck is a 4x4 but has a 5" lift. No adjustments have been made to the torsion bars.

Fallscrew,
Thanks for the compliments. I have a 16 month old
daughter who keeps me busy. I had 33s on there previously and everytime I looked at it, I kept wondering what it would look like w/ 35s so I finally went for it. I would rather have had the ATs but ProComp hasn't released it yet so I went w/ the muds which I am pleased w/ so far. I'm just glad that I don't have to cut anything since there is no rubbing. The 9.5" wide wheel seems to
have fit perfectly.

hyacinth
How has your gas millage been affected since your lifted your supercrew? How has your over all handling changed? especially speeds going around turns? How much clearence do you have for shock travel with 35's?

Question How do you like your RETRAX bed cover? I'm looking in to a few different ones.

The only one I've seen that looks like quality work is the Roll N Lock. I haven't spoken with anyone with either the RETRAX or Roll N Lock though. I'd appreciate any comments you have.
Thanks

Thumbs up Re: 35" tires on Supercrew

Very nice hyacinth,,,,,,,,,

Just a few questions;

1. What type and size are the wheels? (they look awesome)

2. What lift kit did you install?

3. And how does it ride?

4rdfan,
To answer your questions:
1) The wheels are called APP, a relatively small company in Southern Cal. Their site is appwheels which shows the different styles of wheels they make and also has a review or 2 about their one pice, forged wheels. The size is 17x9.5. I am happy w/ the look combined w/ the 35" tires and the width is just enough to give it a semi-aggressive stance and still keep the tires from rubbing and keep them from sticking too far out of the fender flares.

2) The lift is a 5" RCD.

3) The ride is still good. I've never had mud tires before but am content w/ the relative quietness of these ProComps. No vibrating issues and were quick to balance. I was told though to rotate them every 3-5000 miles.

Please give advice on the best way to rotate if I were to do it in my own driveway...

Truck looks great. The wheels should help you get pretty far into the mountains before having to get on your mountian bike! BTW, what kind of bike holder is that? I have a S-CREW too and am thinking about buying a bike holder/rack. I would prefer one that allows you to keep the front wheel on the bike but there aren't too many out there.
