Need help finding noise.

Hey guys need some help.

There is a low ratling noise that has just started on my SCREW. It occurs around 5 mph-30mph. It is not loud, you really can't even hear it with the radio on, but very annoying none the less. It seems to be coming from inside the dash. It sounds like plastic rattling togehter.

Any ideas?

How is Ford with the warranty on stuff like this?

My SCREW is only a month old.

before you do anything, i'd have someone else drive your truck while you try to pin point the location of the rattle. i've discovered that rattles often times aren't coming from where you think they are located. having someone else drive your truck while you look/listen/feel can be very helpful. also, make sure there is nothing loose in your glove box, overhead storage bins or center console...just my two cents...

Might be your speedometer cable. You can disconnect it from your tranny and see if that fixes the noise.

Daveman,

That seems logical. It happens in reverse and forward and right after the truck starts moving.

Any pointers on how to disconnect it?

Thanks
