Has anyone ever put one of these on their rear window? It is a one-way see thru vinyl graphic, their web address is http://www.woodward1.com/. If anyone has put this on, or had it put on how you like it? Is looking thru it a bother or hassel? Thanks
I have experience with the "see-through" decals. My '00 Supercab company truck had a film on the rear window called Gerber-Vision (file attached). My '02 SuperCrew company truck has the same. It's the same stuff, a vinyl graphic made of a sheet with small dots cut out.
Visibility is no different than looking through a tinted window, until it gets wet! Then, you will be using your side mirrors. It is impossible to make out images with any clarity when this material is wet. Backing into the garage when wet isn't easy either.
I do the graphics for obvious reasons; I'm driving a rolling billboard promoting my business. I'm not sure I would do it for purely cosmetic reasons. Although, it does make a great "privacy" barrier.
I've had people ask me if it is legal (check your local laws!). I don't know. I can say I've never been hassled for it by the men in blue and I've been driving around with it since October of '99.
