I've been on w three different companies including Ford and no one can tell me which gas tank it is
2003 ford150 5.4 triton
Short wheel base
4x4
4 door
I can't drop it because then I don't have a ride to go get my part. Female in learning process,so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've been throwing codes and chased down a vacuum leak to my 4x4 solenoid the 6 o clock one..
went bought it replaced it reset my truck check engine light went off but came right back on.
Had a gas cap indicator light last week fixed that and then went to put gas in Sunday and it was pouring on ground.
Went home took off my fuel filler and hoses,it broke off when tried to take off old clamp.
So now need gas tank and pump and screen and sending unit and pressure valve straps etc..
but I can't find a definite answer even did a vin check.
I measured 57 inches long
13 1/4 high
and 13 wide on the one in my truck as we speak.

Lots of tank sources on line. Just search for a 2003 F150 Crewcab 4x4 tank.

It looks like the 25 gallon tank is what you need. The owner's manual shows:

Fuel tank
4x4 Reg. Cab with short wheelbase 92.7L (24.5 gallons)

4x2 Regular Cab, SuperCab and SuperCrew with short wheelbase 94.6L (25.0 gallons)

All long Wheelbase 113.6L (30.0 gallons)

 

This looks like a correct aftermarket one. The description says it's for the Crew Cab. They may not make an exact 25 gallon aftermarket tank.

Edit: Ford Parts Giant shows the part number to be 1L3Z9002LA for the Crew Cabs. The tank above references this part number.

 

4x4 crew cab is 24.5. What you posted doesn't address that.

 

 

What I posted does address the 4X4 SuperCrew. It Differentiates between the 4X2 and 4X4 Regular cabs with short wheelbases and just says SuperCab and SuperCrew with short wheelbase. That would indicate to me to mean 4X2 or 4X4 SuperCabs and SuperCrews with short wheelbases have 25 gallon tanks. Otherwise they would have listed it like this:

Fuel tank
