Had my first parking lot encounter yesterday. I was backing up to get into a parking space, and a Toyota thought they would back up behind me at the same time. I was looking, turned around out the back window, and could not see that low lying vehicle. I was moving at 1mph or less I felt a soft impact, like I had run over a cushion for something. It startled me because I was afraid a kid was behind me! (monitor, here I come!)

But it was the Tyota...I pushed in a quart sized dent in the passenger drivers side door. My screw had some white paint and black rubber on the chrome bumper, but nothing was out of place or even moved. I got home a took some Goo Gone to it and it all came right off, good as new, not even a scratch! Whewww!

The moral of the story: I'm thinking of a monitor now as someone here as done! That could have been a kid or stroller back there! Be careful backing up!

I kept whinning about having to hitch up a dual axel trailer by myself.

I can just tell you the power tailgate lock has been the most useful mod yet. Anyway, I bought mine at the local truck shop and had them install it, but you can find the kit from Pop&Lock at the following sites for pretty good prices.
