New to the SCrew!

Good Evening Folks! I have a 2000 Extended Cab and it's time to cut my losses and unload her. It's a rust bucket and I want to get rid of it before it breaks or breaks me. I want a 4 door and always liked the Super Crews from 2000-2003. So I start searching, found a 2001 Lariat 4x4 with 106k on the clock. Best part is its 15 mins from work. I know it's pretty much the same truck as what I have but is there anything I need to look for?

I'm looking for leaks, rust (obviously), and overall condition underneath but is there anything else I need to know about these trucks?

Spark plugs and riding conditions

I have a 2001 f150 5.4 larite and I have had to replace spark plugs so check them and if there is a whole lot of oil on them DO NOT BUY that means there is a crack in the engine letting oil get to the spark plugs with results in the spark plugs fouling.

good luck .

Check the rear seal on the trans. when driving see if you get a drive line vibration. Screws are good for that. easily fixed but can be used to negotiate price.
