Thumbs up Interesting Sight Today

Saw an intersting SCrew ride tonight in Houston.
It appeared to be a lowered 2000 or 2001 lowered SCrew.
It had the 2001 signal mirrors on it.
It had the Navigator Nose on it.
It had a rollpan on the rear.
It had the 01L taillights.
It had the Navigator rear door license plate unit frenched into the tailgate.
It appeared to be a gold color.
Apparently it exists around my sub-division because it turned into the 1st section of my neighborhood.
Might sweet looking ride though and might be an inspiration for someone else out there.

You're sure it wasn't a Lincoln Blackwood?

It could be a Blackwood that someone painted gold just to be different or it could be a Screw with a Navigator clip which has been done a few times. There was pictures of one on the 150World site.

I would like to see pictures of that truck. One thing that is for sure, it was not a Blackwood. They only come in black and the tail gate is split as the following link shows.

Talking here you go ...

Ill attach a photo of a Screw with a Nav front clip. Ive thought about doing this mod (In a year or two - when more wrecked Navs show up in the junkyard). I'll need the entire front clip, hood, and fenders from the Nav.

Question Stupid Question...

What is involved in the front clip replacement? I realize the clip includes the entire front end. Is this a cut and weld type deal or is it bolt-on?

While we're on the subject of interesting trucks.....

You may have seen one before, but I saw an SVT screw sitting on a Ford lot.

It's red.
It's lowered.
Lowenhart wheels.
L lights.
Ram air hood.
Hard tonneau cover with wing.
SVT badging.

Nothing indicated anything special under the hood - but I didn't have the chance to look.

It was actually a descent looking truck, but personally I thought the wheels were too small. From a distance the wheels and tires looked too small for the truck.

to me that navigator front end looks kinda odd...maybe in real life it looks better?

Robdude:
The Navi frontend is a bolt on.
There are some threads here you can search on, and one post even gives a COMPLETE parts listing of what is needed to do it with the part numbers.

To all others:
No, it was not a Blackwood.
I have seen and sat in one of those (at the car show), interestingly enough on a podium next to the Caddy EXT.

I saw the truck again today on the way home from soccer practice, so I will put the camera in the car and see if I can snap it.
