20" Lightning wheels

Has anyone mounted the 20" L replicas on their screw? If so, how do you like them and can you post pics? I'm thinking of doing this, but want to see what they look like..

BigIke,
Quite frankly the only tires I can find that won't change the speedo are the GTII's 275/45/20's that come on the HD.

Cool 20" L Wheels

I think LightningCrew has them on his rig. I recall seeing it at the Atlanta Rally back in July and it is SICK! Pics were taken and then posted by the webmaster....I think the thread has been removed.

God Bless America!

20" Lightning wheels

Greetings from West Tennessee. I have a 2001 Dk Blue supercrew and have mounted 20x8.5 Epic Chronos rims with Dunlop 295/40/zr20's on it. I'm very pleased overall, but still want to install an additional 2" drop. Other mods include:tower power throttle body spacer (whistles like the ****ens), K&N filter charger (great power, but amplified the whistle), dual Ravin mufflers w/ "H" pipe and same side exit w/ stainless steel tips. I'll try to attach a photo. Hope this helps.
Michael

Sorry, I have the 18's with 285/60R-18 Falken ZIEX S/TZ 01 tires. Man these 18-inch tires are expensive, I can't imagine what 20s would cost!!

LightningCrew

As I continue to mimic your beautiful truck I am wondering:
1. Where did you get your clear corners from and were they easy to install?
2. Where did you get your Lightning Badges?
Thanks
Stew

Stewscrew:

1) Clear corners came from www.procarparts.com - they seemed to have the cheapest price - $29.95. I know a few people have posted and said they had problems with this distributor, but I did not. The quality of the product was great and really changed the look of the front end, especially with the white body color. Installation is very easy - remove one screw and they pull out. However, I found that it was easier to get to them if you remove the headlight first, because it was hard to get a good hold on the corner to pull it out. Just remove the screw on top and then give it a tug forward.

2) Dealer had the emblems - When my truck came in I wanted them to remove all of the badging because I really do not like the F150 emblem. They called back and said that they could 1) remove the badges , fill the holes, and repaint (which they really did not want to do), 2) Leave the F150 badges or 3) they happened to have some Lightning badges in stock that they could put on. I told them to put on the L badges - at least until I could find something else to replace them with. Some people (only on this board and that don't even own Lightnings) have problems with the fact that I put these badges on, but I really don't care. In fact, I have been thinking about leaving them on, but maybe painting them to match the truck. I have seen the badges for sale on eBay - not sure what the price was.

Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.
