Question Performance Exhaust

I' m thinking about putting a flowmaster 70 series on my Screw. I'm not looking for anything really loud, I heard the 70 series is the perfect choice. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I heard a FM 70

Dover

I heard a 70 at a local shop last week. First impression was it was not loud at all. It has a different tone than stock, but if I'm not missing my guess, I'd say sound level is very close to stock. This was one of the owner's trucks, so I only got a chance to hear it at idle and revving the engine in the parking lot - not under any type of load or acceleration.

Based on my first impressions of the FM70, if I choose to go FM I might drop back one or two models for a little more aggressive sound. I always got the impression the 40's were obnoxiously loud. I don't want to have a truck like the ones that I pass on the highway and their exhaust drowns out my radio!

Thanks!

Don' t know if you have heard the Raven 55's or noy, they are a jerneric vershion of the flow masters, a little less bucks$$$
and a lot better sound. The 55"s are made for our trucks...
Just another option open to you..

Old flowmaster 40's that did not have the delta flow were real loud, way to loud for me not sure just what the difference is inside but its quiet on the highway just a little noise at cruise
The one thing to remember is just as some people like different truck combos ie reg cab, s-cab screw etc there are different mufflers, none wrong just different something for all of us good luck on whatever you deside

I have the Ravin Z55 (3" SISO) plus the FM y-pipe, with the stock tail pipe. Nice rumble, not too loud, and a solid 1.5 mpg increase. This mod has already paid for itself.

I have the Ravin 55 too. I agree with everything Ramblinwreck said. It is a mod that has already paid for itself with me too...
