My temperature and compass display went black. I want to check for power and loose connections at the display since no fuses are blown. How do you get the console down? I can't find a screw, bolt or place to pry/pull to open it.

 

there was one screw in the front of the console. I could not see it from the driver's seat. Two press in tabs in the rear compartment where the garage remote goes and the console goes down.

My gages came back following the repairs I found on youtube for re-sodering the circuit board.

 

Do you have to take it out to replace the map lights? Or do the covers come off?

 

I don't know. my console just had the temp/compass, a sunglasses case and garage remote case
