Talking Stripes be gone!

Well, after hearing of several others on this forum doing it, I removed my upper stripes, and kept the Lariat and 4x4 logos. Looks much nicer and cleaner in my opinion. I had 3600 miles on the truck when I pulled them off, and you can't tell anything was ever there. A pretty nice and (cheap mod....

Now, if I can just get my black Westin Bull bar and PIAA or Hella lights

Question

How'd you get them off? Was it easy to do? I have a dealer sticker I want to remove.

I Agree

I also removed my stripes along with the Lariet sticker and think it makes the truck look cleaner. Each to his own though. All I did was get an end of the stripe started and kept a hair dryer on it while I slowly pulled it off. It came off very easy for me. I also kept the 4x4 sticker.

To remove them, I just pulled up the stripes at one end with my fingernail, the just pulled them off. I didn't need to use a hairdryer, etc. Very easy. They are on top of the clearcoat, and are just stuck on similar to window tint. No residue was left behind. Looks much cleaner now...probably would look better even with the Lariat logo removed, but I left it on....

Just do it!

Just pulled the "Off Road 4x4" stickers off my 3 day old Screw. looks 100% better in my opinion. Once I "screw" it up a little more with a tonneau and a few other goodies...I'll post some pictures.

Thumbs up

I have a Black/ Silver Lariet S'Crew and didn't like the gold stripes. Plus, it didn't match my boat (is that **** or what?). So, I had them removed and replaced with a Silver stripe with a blue center. I watched the guy do it at the dealership and he just lifted and end, and peeled them off. then wiped off any excess glue with what I think was alcohol. then applied the new stripes. I waited a couple of weeks and then waxed over them and it looks great. It doesn't look that hard to change them.
