Windshield Wiper hose line part needed
Windshield Wiper hose line part needed
Hey All,
I'm looking for some information on where I can get a hoseline part for my windshield wiper. The part I need is the Y-set (its crack) where the main line splits off to go to the passenger side sprayer. I went to one of the local dealerships here and they said I have to buy the cowl as well at a price of $104. I pretty much told them they were crazy when all I need is a max $10 part. So any ideas where I can get this part without spending an arm and a leg?
I've found how to take it apart on here which is great because I'm going to spray paint it since I'm going to have it all apart. I have an 04 screw 4x4 lariat with 102000 miles.
Thanks!

Windshield Wiper Hose Part
Hey, I needed this exact same part about 2 weeks ago for my 2004 F150, DO NOT BUY IT FOR that much money, i went to a local ford garage and they sold me the plastic Y-set part for 59 cents. You are getting screwed. so try to find a local ford repair shop in your area, goodluck.
Thanks for the response.
BlueJay: Thats where I was headed next to look for the part and then to the junkyard.
Pen2617: no I don't have any intentions of paying that. I was just floored that they are doing that to people and they wonder why they're going broke.

On this note has anyone had to replace the actual nozzle that is located on the outside (top) of the hood?
My driver's side nozzle has become damaged and no longer has a fine mist of spray but rather shoots a larger weaker stream to the bottom of the windshield
TIA

Yep, one of mine stopped up. Cost at the dealer was $10, takes about 5 minutes to replace.

Well I found the part I needed at Advanced Auto for $2.59 and I took the cowl off repair it now in the process of spray painting it and getting it back to new. Looks good but the rubber part on the ends were brittle and fell apart in my hands. So it will be going back on without them. I had hoped they would stay together so I could paint it as well but it didn't make it. Thanks again for suggesting the parts store.
