Has anyone seen the wheels included with the FX4 off road package on the 2002 models? They are supposedly a "new 17" 5 spoke cast aluminum" design. I'm trying to decide whether to buy a 2001 or order a 2002 and the look of the wheels might be a factor.

I am wondering the same thing. Also want to see a picture of the new two-tone. I don't like being forced to get two-tone with that package in order to get the 17" wheels.

 

ordering the offroad package on an 02' model does not require you to get a two tone paint job. according to kbb.com, the only "paint issues" associated with the offroad package are that some colours (including some two tone combos) are not available with that specific package.

 

Last night, the Ford commercial showed that you get a $1,500 rebate on all 2001 SC's. If I were you, I'd get the 2001 and get whatever wheels you like with the $1,500. I wouldn't chose a vehicle based upon its wheels because those are just a 30-minute swap to change and someone will always be selling theirs.
Also, after reading all of the negative posts regarding the lack of tires made for the 17" wheels, I got 16x8 sized aftermarket wheels and put larger, chunkier tires on.
