Painted interior pieces
Anyone else having problems with their interior paint coming off? Yesterday while cleaning the interior of the SCrew, I had some tan paint come off of the plastic piece where the driver's window controls are. No abuse or chemicals, just washing it with a damp cloth - and now there's black where there should be tan. I know that some of the dash is painted, but I was suprised that these pieces are painted (I also noticed that the dash-mounted cupholder is painted - as it has a little nick in it showing black). I'm going to go into my Ford dealer later to see about getting this piece replaced, but I'm sure not happy having an interior that I need to "baby" to keep looking good.
OK,
now I know I'm not imagining the black areas appearing on my gray dash area. I too have only used a damp cloth to wipe it off, and don't bump into it. It also has a white streak over a foot long across the top now. I had it parked at the aiport for a week, with a windshield deflector in it and the white streak is on the shaded side.

Yes, others have had problems with this also by the window & lock switches etc. They resorted to purhasing some interior paint from www.paintscratch.com and doing some touch-up themselves.
Good luck,

Yeah! I noticed it just this past weekend. On the darker piece (I have Tan interior) surrounding the controls on the driver door, the paint has rubbed off. It's obviously where I rub my knee while I'm driving. I'm taking it in tomorrow and I won't accept less than a replacement.
The paint on my Saturn interior never rubbed off (if it was even painted). I'll suggest that he get me the wood paneling as a replacement so I'm not in there every six months for a new piece!
