Fold-a-Cover Update
For those of you waiting for the Fold-a-Cover for the Screw, here's the latest (6/21/01) direct from Penny T. at Fold-a-Cover:

Sorry we do not have a cover for the unit yet. You can check back sometime in Sept.
Thanks,

From other posts, it's clear they keep pushing back the date. And Penny's comment doesn't exactly inspire confidence that anything will actually be available in September. After all, she just says "you can check" in Sept...she's not saying they have a firm timetable and are confident they'll have the product then. At this point, who knows when/if there will ever be a Fold-a-cover for the Screw.
Since I need a cover by mid-August, I'm going to go ahead and order the Advance. It looks like just what I want. I was hoping to be able to compare Advance and Fold-a-Cover, but I'm not confident that day will ever come. So, the company with the product ready to ship gets the business!

I think you will like the Adavnce Cover. It does exactly what I need in a cover. It was easy enough to remove the other day when I had to haul 12 bales of hay. Then came home and put it back on by myself within minutes.

LuckyJack,
Good choice on the Advance. I really like mine. Used it the other day to haul a TV that was taller than the bed. Just folded the back half forward, snapped it down in the front and was on my way. I've also taken it off in less than 2 mins and put it in the bed to haul several large boxes.
Good Luck!

Call 1 800 KCOVERS and ask for Jackie. She is the dealer in the Houston area but she is located on the westside in Katy. She was nice enough to let my cover and StrongWind slide in with a shipment of hers, so I ended up paying $495 + tax.
Let me know if you need any other info

I paid $500 including taxes and shipping. I also got an automatic tailgate lock (cables into the power locks by drivers door) for $38. He said he would drop ship to others without them having it shipped to his store.
Installation of both was easy, did it without help. Do need a small rivet gun (about $12 at Lowe's or Home Depot) for the cover.
I have been told by others that he may not offer this same price, play hardball and you may be able to get it.
I love the cover. Don't drive with the cover folded and only locked on 1 side, it may fly off at highway speeds. Luckily it flew like a kite into the median and landed in the grass. You must lock BOTH sides. I drove 100 miles before it decided to fly off, including ripping the rivets. No damage was done luckily, and new rivets fixed me back up. Just a warning to make sure you lock the sides closest to the bed when driving fast (I was going 80mph).

I live in the Houston area and have an F150 SuperCrew also and purchased the Advance Cover from Jackie at K-Covers in Houston. I absolutely love the cover. However, I noticed the phone number posted earlier was incorrect. The phone number for K-Covers in the Houston Metro area is 281-4KCOVERS (or 281-452-6837) or Nationwide Toll Free at 1-800-261-1185. I was just informed that KCovers has just completed their website and I pulled it up at www.kcovers.com. They have a great picture gallery and tons of information. They certainly answered all of my questions personally over the phone every time I called (and I had a lot of questions). I noticed that they also guarantee the lowest prices on the web. Check it out at www.kcovers.com

i have a roll-n-lock cover, no complaints yet. seems to be good quality and works excellent. cost was 750 installed. be warned these covers(pace edwards-retrax-roll-n lock) due leak a little water, so they aren't completely waterproof. also the roll-n -lock takes up about 8 inches of the front of the bed for storage when you have the top rolled up, dont know about the others but they work the same way.
also last but not least they do look good too,

It has been a while since anyone updated this thread. I have been on the fold-a-cover web site and see that they do now have covers for Screws. Does anyone have any experience with this cover? I am trying to decide between the fold-a-cover and the advance cover.
I just had one installed on June 13th. No pictures yet. I am happy with the cover. I was planning on installing it myself until I found out that I needed to put in pop-rivets. Since that left no room for error I had it installed. I think they could have done a little better, but it looks great and works great. The bed extender is a bit of a pain now.
That is great. I just order a fold-a-cover cover from a local dealer. Fold-a-cover recommended that on a Screw that the cover be installed by a dealer, because of the drilling. Who am I to judge, so that is what I am doing.
How is the bed extender a pain?
