Talking Another Rad Success!

Just got off the phone with the Service Manager at Bill Currie Ford in Tampa and they are going to swap out my radiator tomorrow!

My story is a little different in that this dealer was more or less indifferent to the problem like a lot of folks on this site. As a result, I e-mailed Ford Customer Relations from the Ford OwnerConnection Web Site. They got in touch with both me and the dealer and had me bring the truck in so they could verify that I had the standard 1.02" core when I should have had the 1.42" core upgrade. Well my dealer called the district Ford rep and the Plant. The answer he got back was the literature is incorrect and that the engineers have stated that the standard Rad was more than adequate (my personal observation towing 5000lbs, 89 deg, flat terrain at 70 MPH is that is true from a strict performance viewpoint). Anyway to make a long story short, my service guy says all this and without letting me say one word and immediately says he thinks he's got one in stock and if not he'll order it and get it squared away ASAP. Very Strange!!! Makes me wonder if Ford has passed the word to take care of the problem if a customer makes a big stink, just don't volunteer to do it.
