Post Colorado Owners: ? about Service

Hey guys,

I'm been fortunate enough not to have had my Crew serviced yet but a buddy of mine needs to take in his explorer. We live between Denver and Boulder and are looking for some help on good service departments. Any opinions would be a big help. He wants to avoid taking it to Sil-Terhar in Broomfield.

Thanks

Although I bought mine at Sil-Terhar, I gave up having it serviced there. They told me that my leaking head gasket was because I change the oil myself and spilled down the side of the valve cover - what morons.

I then gave O'Meara a try, and they replaced the engine due to head gasket leak. Rental car and everything was taken care of. No problems. I would recommend them if it's conveniant.

Thumbs up

I use John Elway Ford in Boulder. I bought the truck there. I have no complaints yet, but they only significant thing they did was replace the mis-built radiator.

so this is where you guys are! Geez how come you never respond ot my posts about wanting to have a local bbq or hooters night or anything? LOL

As for service, I typically take mine to Phil Long, but just because its close. I don't like sil-terhar, just because they put a big *** logo on the tailgate that will leave holes if I pop it off. I bought it used from the original buyer so I can't bitch to them too much, but he should have... ahh well.
