Question Drilling Holes in Bed

S-crew due in next week.
The Advanced Cover requires 3/16" holes drilled in the bed to secure it. My concern is drilling holes which may create potential rust points by affecting the integrity of the primer / paint.
Any opinions on drilling into the bed??

PS. another company, Fold-A-Cover has a clamp on hard folding cover due out July, worth waitng to avoid drilling??

Any input, opinions, advice appreciated.

1st time truck owner.

Thanks

I would tell them you want the clamp in style so no holes are drilled in your bed.

Hogan,
I've got the Advance cover on my SCrew and love it. The 4 holes for the hinge clamp are not that bad. I've included a photo below. I've also posted a series of photos on the SCrew forum. Do a search for "Photos- Advance Cover". Let me know if you have any other questions. I'll be glad to give you my $0.02.
