Angry F'n Jack

I have had my SuperCrew for over a month now and thought it was about time to get to know the Jack and Spare.

I don think they could have put it in a better place. But I don't think the could have put it in there any worse. That damn lug wrench is cornered in this little notch and I just about cut my thumb off trying to get it out. It does however have a nice rubber condom thing on there to protect the hub caps when removing them.

Don't feel too bad, JNB. In removing my jack and lug wrench,
I huffed and puffed and broke some plastic doohicky. I never
stopped to think that the jack might just be "raised" a little to keep
it tight in its holder so it doesn't rattle around back there. DUH!!
Took me 20 minutes of cussin' before I figured that out. Boy did
I feel stupid!! Once figgured, took me all of 30 seconds to remove the dang thing.

Unhappy

I too have finally decided to try out the jack just in case I need to be familiar with it. Well, with my larger 285/75/16 tires, I extended the jack all the way and still could not raise the tire. Now what? Do I need to buy a new jack? Carry around a large block of wood? What have others done even those that have lifted trucks. Thanks.
