Post exhaust pop & crackle noise

anyone else here notice a popping/crackling noise coming from the undercarriage of your s-crew? it seems to be coming from the exhaust and sounds exactly like the noise you hear when your exhaust is cooling off after you shut down the engine. only thing is, i can hear this noise while the engine is running and i'm parked along side a building with the driver's window down (say at a burger king drive-through). local ford shop couldn't find anything wrong, of course. anyone else here notice similar? thanks.

Yep, I hear the same popping and crackling on my SCrew as well. Noticed it a while ago when I left it idle to check my mail. I had already ran around town, so the engine was nice and warm by then. The temperature gauge always remained well within the safe limits and never fluctuated so I wasn't too concerned. The service guy at the dealership checked it out during my first oil change last week. He said he couldn't find anything wrong and not to worry unless it gets worse.

That's the exhaust and its normal. I had a 98 F150 before the SCrew and it did it as well. It did get quieter as it aged or I just got used to it and didn't notice it as much.

Although I'm no expert, I'm about 90% sure that it's the condensate from the a/c unit hitting the hot pan over the exhaust pipe (I think that the condensor runs in all modes except panel and floor). I believe it's necessary and normal... It occured on my 97 and 98 Scab's and 01 Screw.
