Question Lowering supercrew = better mpg?

I know when I lifted my explorer the mileage wnet way down. I know it was partly to do with the larger tires but I feel it had more resistance up higher. would a lowered supercrew get better mileage than a stock screw? I have to find some way to con my wife into it.... 2001 Supercrew, 20" Kmc Venom's and custom bumper treatment from Taurus
